This is how it all began.
March 29, 2006... A day that will live in infamy. We were supposed to go into the hospital at 6am, but they called the day before to tell us that there wasn't a room and that we should come in at 5 pm. So I figured, "Well, tommorrow is going to be a late night. I guess I will stay up late playing Oblivion." So I stayed up till 3am, trying to shift my schedule for the next night...
Of course, 5 am rolls around and I get a call from the hospital telling me they have room and we should go in at 6 am. Not a good way to start this whole parenthood thing.
We arrived at the hospital at about 6:30 am and begin, what will be one of the most exhausting days of my life.
Alicia was ready to get this baby out of there. It was too bad her body and Peyton weren't in a hurry to seperate. Remember how I mentioned that we arrived at the hospital at 6:30 am? Well Peyton wasn't born until 11:30 pm. I'll spare you the details in between for now, but let's just say it was a long day.
In the end, though, it was really great getting to hold him for the first time.
